ConnectMed International Founder and President of the Board

Dr. Gosman is a board certified plastic surgeon and the chief of the Plastic Surgery Division and Director of Craniofacial Surgery at Rady Children’s Hospital San Diego.  She is also the Director of Craniofacial and Pediatric Plastic Surgery at UC San Diego Medical School, and the director of the UC San Diego Plastic Surgery Residency Program and Craniofacial Fellowship.  After her plastic surgery training at the University of Texas, Southwestern (UTSW), she completed advanced training in craniofacial/pediatric plastic surgery at UTSW and international plastic surgery with Interplast.  Dr. Gosman has extensive experience providing healthcare and education to underserved communities around the world. She has volunteered with numerous international organizations providing care in over 30 different countries in the past 13 years.  She has successfully utilized telemedicine technology to overcome logistical barriers to international healthcare and education. Dr. Gosman has authored multiple publications and given lectures around the world on pediatric plastic surgery topics such as cleft lip and palate, international health, and telemedicine.  Dr. Gosman is the Medical Director of ConnectMed International and oversees all aspects of the organization’s medical and educational activities. As President, she supervises the affairs of ConnectMed International, the Board of Directors, and its officers.
