Blake grew up in San Diego, danced ballet with the San Francisco Ballet, New York City Ballet, American Ballet Theatre, and The Royal Danish Ballet. 

She Went on to earn her bachelor’s degree in Latin American History from the University of California, San Diego.  She completed a B.S. in nursing and an M.S. in pediatric nursing from Columbia University, graduating with honors.

She moved back to California to work with renowned Pediatric Urologist Dr. Antoine Khoury, assisting him on highly complex reconstructive cases for over nine years.  She became certified as a Registered Nurse First Assist (RNFA), completed a second Master of Science (in Biomedical and Translational Science) at the University of California, Irvine, and a Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) at the University of Pittsburgh.
