What is the CCA Retreat about?
ConnectMed is so honored to be participating once again in this year’s CCA (Children’s Craniofacial Association) Family Retreat & Educational Symposium! The CCA, one of our Camp Cosmos outreach partners, is a national organization that addresses the medical, financial, psychosocial, emotional, and educational concerns relating to craniofacial conditions.
The retreat is known across the country as an amazing 4-day opportunity for people with craniofacial conditions to come together and interact with others who have endured similar experiences. They listen to guest speakers, attend information sessions and community-bonding activities, and decompress during facilitated group discussions through CMI’s own Camp Care. Families can share ideas, problems, and solutions and continue to build relationships and bonds of understanding and caring.
This year, the CCA Retreat is taking place at the Sheraton Dallas Hotel in Dallas, TX on June 23-26, 2022.
This year, CMI will be involved by:
At our Exhibitor Booth and Symposium: activities and games that incorporate imagination, self-expression, inclusion, and movement to allow children and teens to express their individuality but also to identify what they have in common.
At Camp Care: facilitating family group discussions with Cashel Gaffey MSW, our Program & Fundraising Coordinator
Smile 4 Kids
Nurses Appreciation Week 2021 is May 6-May 12, and our Smile4Kids cause this month is NURSES & NURSING STUDENTS – recognizing, appreciating and investing in them!
We will spotlight some of the many nurses and nursing students who have volunteered with our teams and provided critical care to patients around the world .
We will share updates about the low-income nursing students from rural communities in Vietnam who have received ConnectMed scholarships to attend Hue University School of Nursing (Hue, Vietnam). With your generosity and support this month, we hope to continue this scholarship support.
Make a donation in the name of your favorite #SuperHeroNurse and we will send him/her a note of acknowledgment and a ConnectMed #OperatingWithCare mask & lanyard!
July is National Cleft and Craniofacial Awareness and Prevention Month! In honor of this special month, will you help us raise funds to help support children and young adults with craniofacial differences and special needs?
