The ConnectMed Research Scholarship Award supports significant research that advances technical knowledge and capacity building in any of the multidisciplinary specialties involved in the treatment and care of congenital or acquired conditions. We support applicants with demonstrable financial need and commitment to providing care to the needy in their communities. This award provides funds up to $2500 for resources, supplies, travel, visa processing, accommodations, and conference registration fees associated with the completion, presentation, and/or scientific publication of original research.
Criteria
Applicant must be from a lower or middle income country.
Applicant must be a medical student, graduate student, post-graduate physician in training actively enrolled in a training program, or a physician or allied health professional with an active license.
Applicant must be presenting original research at a scientific conference.
The research must relate to ConnectMed’s goals of furthering multidisciplinary, sustainable healthcare for the treatment of craniofacial differences, burns, traumatic injuries, and all congenital or acquired anomalies.

Nurses Appreciation Week 2021 is May 6-May 12, and our Smile4Kids cause this month is NURSES & NURSING STUDENTS – recognizing, appreciating and investing in them!
We will spotlight some of the many nurses and nursing students who have volunteered with our teams and provided critical care to patients around the world .
We will share updates about the low-income nursing students from rural communities in Vietnam who have received ConnectMed scholarships to attend Hue University School of Nursing (Hue, Vietnam). With your generosity and support this month, we hope to continue this scholarship support.
