ConnectMed is proud to sponsor and participate in orthodontic training in procedures that facilitate successful surgical procedures. In February 2016, orthodontists and dentists from Tijuana, Ensenada and Mexico City, as well as our own Dr. Alicia Sigler participated in a successful education collaboration. They gathered to further their knowledge about the NAM (Nasal Aveolar Molding) procedure, which involves placing an orthodontic device in the mouth of cleft children to help shape and improve the position of the nose. This makes it easier for plastic surgeons to form a symmetric lip and nose after only one procedure. And Dr. Amanda Gosman was able to evaluate and interact with the patients remotely over FaceTime!
